Good call on Squarepusher. Some of Aphex Twin's more jazzy glitch/experimental stuff (E.g. Drukqs) may fit the bill to a certain extent too. And speaking of those genres, ~music?tag=experimental and ?tag=glitch are probably also a good place to start looking for similar-ish stuff as well, @ha-iiro. E.g. underscores - skin purifying treatment is composed of very similar elements as the Mid-Air Theif album.

And while not entirely the same, since it's more choral experimental music, Holly Herndon's album PROTO also gives me a similar overall vibe as that Mid-Air Thief album too. But maybe my absolute adoration of Holly Herndon is biasing me there. ;)

Even in the original show there was witches, ghosts, sentient meat-eating plants, sentient taxidermy, Thing, Lurch, Cousin Itt, and references to various other monstrous family members... so is it really that much of a stretch to go from all that to werewolves and vampires?

And depending on if you take the cartoons, movies, and TV remakes as canon, there are undeniably clear references to the existence of various other supernatural creatures in the Addams family universe.

Mirror Dance, Memory and Civil Campaign spoilers

That scene with Ivan at the garden party (where Ivan's in tears thinking about Miles) also really stuck with me.

Ditto. Too bad absolutely all my sympathy dried up for Ivan after he intentionally unleashed hell on Miles by setting batchelors on Ekatarin, which is what eventually ended up leading to the accusation/blackmail attempt about him killing her husband. Not to mention him messing with the seating arrangement at Mile's first party, which also caused all sorts of problems.

The torture scenes with Mark were almost a little too much for me.

Ditto. The torture parts themselves weren't really what did it for me though, it was Mark's reaction to them. Him having to fragment his personality in order to survive it was utterly heartbreaking to me. :(

I did find the conclusion of Memory a little predictable

Also ditto. But even though his choice was predictable, I actually still really liked how it was handled. Getting to see how surprised every other character was that Miles didn't take the bribe. That element, showing how much everyone else knew he valued the Dendarii, was a wonderful touch.

(Miles "fails upward" too often for me) but it was a really clever way to have him spend more time on the ground

Eh. He clearly has the brains, will, and balls for it. He also has Gregor's implicit trust, not just because of them growing up together but also because of him saving Gregor's life. And after years of putting his life on the line in service to Barrayar, with ImpSec and the Dendarii, and getting no public recognition for any of it, I would say the position was actually well deserved despite his occasional failures.

The explosions at the Engels-2 and Dyagilevo airbases, if confirmed as Ukraine’s, would mark its deepest attack so far into Russia and against key military facilities used in the Kremlin’s war.

At least it helped. But yeah that is still a bit high. I wonder what Mozilla does differently.

His 2015 concert in Montreal is also one of my absolute favorites, and I have watched it countless times over the years. I'm a huge fan of him, in case you couldn't tell. ;)

cc: @Adys. Stromae finally made it to Tiny Desk!!!!

I grew up watching Jacques Cousteau's documentaries. Some of my earliest memories are of watching them. And my mother is still quite fond of telling the story of how often she would walk into the living room, ask what I was watching, and me answering back "Jack Costo". So this video brought back a lot of fond memories, and was a wonderful glimpse into the ship, its history, and the people aboard it.

Anyone else here grow up watching his documentaries too?

p.s. I think The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou is also one of my favorite films in large part because of my love of Cousteau. Plus, it also introduced me to Seu Jorge's acoustic Bowie covers, which I also now love.
