I'm still a bit of a drama whore, and one of the things I miss most about reddit is /r/AmITheAsshole. This post would definitely warrant an overwhelming "NTA" (Not The Asshole) response there though, IMO. You were respectful, and have a valid complaint. You did the right thing, approached it the right way, and should have nothing to regret.

p.s. And I say that as someone whose been on the opposite side of this issue too, BTW. Although we have always sent gifts to our neighbors (usually flowers or a bottle of wine) whenever we had a late night party planned, to warn them ahead of time about the noise, and as a mild form of bribery to get them to accept some of the excess noise past the times when noise ordinance laws come into effect. ;)

@Deimos, can that pet chat tag be automatically added to this specific recurring topic every week too please, so @mycketforvirrad doesn't have to do it manually every time?

My buddy is a huge hockey fan who recently moved to the Phoenix area from Chicago, and as a new Coyotes season ticket holder is absolutely devastated by this news. At least the Roadrunners are sticking around, and supposedly moving to Mullett Arena in Tempe now, which is way closer for him than where they were in Tuscon. And ASU also has a good team that plays at Mullett which he can continue to support too.

And on the silver lining side, Salt Lake City is also only a 2 hour flight away from Phoenix, and the tickets are dirt cheap. In fact, the buddy in question is actually in Provo right now visiting another friend of ours. :P

Just like with Daniel Tosh's new podcast, I'm only planning on posting the first few episodes as they come out, so anyone here who might be interested in the podcast has a chance to discover it. But feel free to click "Ignore" on the topic if you're not interested, and don't want to see it keep popping back up in Activity sort.

I loved the friendly banter between them about Sweden vs Norway in the video. The gift at the end was hilarious too. I have a few Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, and Finnish friends I play videogames and D&D with, so that exact same sort of convo is something I've heard plenty of times before over the years. It's not always friendly, since it can sometimes actually get a bit heated, but it's always funny to listen to as an outsider with no skin in the game.

LOL, yeah Quincy was known to clear a room with his farts too. His drooling was also legendary as well. The reason we nicknamed him "bubbles" is because every time we gave him treats, he created these giant drool bubbles which hung from his jowls. And they would often form a chain of bubbles, drop to the floor eventually, and not even pop most times because the saliva was so thick. He was also a bulldogge in the most literal sense too... he would bowl headfirst into people whenever they were standing in his way, almost knocking everyone over. And he would also open doors by ramming his head into them so hard they would just pop open, even when fully shut.

I'm gonna miss the farty, drooly, bullheaded, lazy lump. :(

I ended up skimming over all the date and room location descriptions eventually too. As you said, it made sense and was appropriate for the character to write in his journals, but after seeing the same things repeated over and over it felt a bit redundant.
