I adore Blade Runner (Director's and Final Cut versions) and thought 2049 was a worthy followup but also would have been otherwise pretty dubious of an anime based on the series... however knowing Adult Swim/Crunchyroll and Shinichiro Watanabe (Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Shamploo) are behind it gives me a lot more faith in it. Watanabe's Blade Runner short film Black Out 2022 was great, so if that will serve as their inspiration for the series I think it could have a lot of potential.

I'm excited. I wasn't super keen on 2049, but I'd like to see where they go with the IP.
I've enjoyed both movies and wow I am so stoked that Shinichiro Watanabe is in on it with Adult Swim/Crunchyroll. That at least makes me hopeful!
