Tongue in cheek. I sincerely believe what I wrote, but intentionally picked an example that would challenge people's perceptions. I have a dry sense of humor.

Besides, even if you aren't a "Fucked in the Butt by My Own Butt" fan, he's got a couple books that are less that and more what most people would call "serious" literature.

In ten years, this won't matter. I'm not exactly sure why it won't matter, but it will likely be to the combination of so much LLM slop/not slop being produced, LLM slop becoming good enough to not be slop, and authors having to use LLMs to be competitive as authors. It's like the certification of horses vs cars. The speed will be more important than the vehicle. Sure there will be people that enjoy riding horses, but it will be more of a "how quaint" or "what an expensive hobby" reaction.

But how will you confirm that a product is not AI generated as it gets better. With honey, or paintings - it's obvious to the casual consumer. But when it's just text - it won't be as obvious as the quality improves.
This is... depressing. I hope there will always be a place for genuine, timeless literature. Making a classic, a magnum opus, or masterpiece may be impossible in this world.

I can imagine if I tried to write a novel, it'd get flagged as AI nonsense.

Truly it's important that authors like Chuck Tingle have their genuine creative works protected from confused association with LLM books.
Chuck Tingle is awesome though
True. He's a scion of butt and butt related storylines.
I can't tell if you're being sarcastic, but I hope you aren't. There are people who sincerely enjoy Chuck Tingle's works.

Thanks for clarifying :)
I'm always excited for when people learn of Chuck Tingle for the first time, and become one of today's lucky 10,000.

That's "Pounded in the Butt by my Own Butt" for your information. The great chuck tingle would never lower himself to the use of vulgarity!

There is a different market for posters than for paintings.
We don't yet know how things will develop

What a perfect example. There’s some confusion over if grocery store honey is real, diluted with sugar water, or straight up sugar water.

Yeah and I imagine that certification won't come free...
