    I thought this was common knowledge? Most of the great golden age comics were created by Jewish immigrants who's parents came over from Europe right before or right after World War II.

    Also, for those who don't know, Art Spiegelman is the author of Maus, which was the first graphic novel to win a Pulitzer Prize. It is about the author's father relating his experiences during World War II but using cats and mice to represent the Nazis and the Jewish people. If you haven't read it, I highly recommend it.
