    The author describes porting a new, unfinished embedded operating system named Hubris to a smart watch, getting to the point of displaying an animation on the screen.

    Oxide is a startup that plans to sell computers to businesses that want to run cloud applications on their own hardware. Here is the company blog post about the Hubris OS.

    Hubris is written in Rust and is unusual for an embedded OS because it uses memory protection. One of the company founders answered some questions about it in the Hacker News topic.
