    I don't believe stripping is implemented, but 0x0.st is open source, and includes some nifty things like inbuilt NSFW detection. It's fairly simple Python, that you could tweak to do stripping...

    I can't help you with a suggestion for an opensource host~ing software since I don't know of any, but: XMP and IPTC are the only other ones I am aware of. XMP is actually the most problematic IMO...

    I don't know if there's more data in an image other than EXIF specifically

    XMP and IPTC are the only other ones I am aware of. XMP is actually the most problematic IMO since it stores edit history and can even contain "nondestructive edits" image data as well, allowing for edits to be undone.

        I just googled around and it appears http://www.metadataworkinggroup.org/ is the major standards org for image metadata. Their spec sheet lists a few more: EXIF, DCF, IPTC, XMP, RDF, Dublin Core,...

        I just googled around and it appears http://www.metadataworkinggroup.org/ is the major standards org for image metadata. Their spec sheet lists a few more: EXIF, DCF, IPTC, XMP, RDF, Dublin Core, RFC2119 and Date and Time (W3C). I don't know how common they all are though.
