It's impressive what firmware updates can do! I've got a RPi 4 on my gift list so I can finally build a low-power NAS and PiHole. I know the 4 is overkill for these two things, but I should have more processing power left over for other fun home-lab projects, and if it's going to improve its thermal performance over time, I'm all the more for going with a bit of overkill.
