I'm still reading through the story (which seems like a huge mess), but I'm really relieved to see this - I commented that I was disappointed Troy was trying to sell it when he first announced...

As an onlooker it's also very frustrating, like a TV show that ends on an unresolved cliffhanger. Where will our plucky hero get the funds he needs to continue... tune in next year.

Troy has the resources to run HIBP as long as he's breathing. He's not trying to get a payday out of this, only trying to make it more than a one-man operation

Yeah, just the fact that he could afford KPMG for this sale attempt says a lot about how much cash he likely has available to him. I really don't understand why he felt he needed to sell HIBP in order to make it more than a one man operation though, since there are plenty of other ways to accomplish that without handing over control of the operation to someone else.

Regardless, I am actually glad he didn't manage to sell it, since I'm still hoping he founds a non-profit around it instead. That may be a bit of a idealistic pipe dream though. :(
