    I didn't think I'd be this fascinated when I clicked on this article! Thanks for posting. The way the author described that mysterious "Z" made me want to find it so badly, so I went through the maze trying to find words I could compare to the transcript, then traced my way backwards until I found it!

    In case anyone else was interested, I circled them here. I believe the one the author referenced is the lower rightmost one.

    This gives me a mighty urge to break out the calligraphy pen and also try painting a snail. The gold-foil letters at the bottom of the page are so lovely! And it's interesting to see the diamond...
