When i dabble in anything art or art related i can be a bit far fetched. Sometimes i have an idea, and when i even explain the idea to someone with an open mind, they might not understand it anyways. Either way, its my art and it means something to me, which is the important part i think. I will let it be subjective to anyone else seeing it.
There are a few things about this photo that makes it represent my hometown, but also Sweden where i live. The Death Cap you see is a fungus that grow all over our forests here, i think it has strong symbolism for me personally as well, due to the amount of time i have spent in nature seeing this very pretty, but deadly, mushroom.
The lake you see is Swan Lake, it`s a landmark of this town, and a very pretty place at that. You can also see some of the inner town in the background. The white tall, new, and boring infrastructure of the modern world. But also also an older building, red and green, just as the mushroom in its grass.
I think the idea of nature mixed with modern technology is a good term to describe Sweden. If you go to our largest city and get on top of the largest building watching out over the city, its mostly green, even looking out from the city center. Since the city is so small, the edges of it show pretty quick, and after that its just green. There are not much tall buildings in the way at all.
I once read of a pop-star which i can`t remember the name of that when she flew over Stockholm she said and i quote. I have never seen a city so green and blue.
If this can be considered a painting of the fall of Icarus I'm happy enough with OP taking some artistic license to call this a photo of their hometown.

I don't really get it. 'Macro' and 'photo of your hometown' are incompatible. This is a photo of a mushroom, not a town.

This is what this picture means to me.
Don't you get it? OP obviously lives in the mushroom. They're a Smurf.

That would be like saying a photo of a family is actually a photo of the wall behind them. That's not how photos work.
Taken with just my s7 phone camera without any editing.
