One of the things I've come to realize in getting more sophisticated in creative pursuits is that you'll eventually come to a point where you come back to your beginner projects and appreciate the crudeness or apparent lack of discipline because what you see is passion. Sometimes a beginner's passion is hard to replicate later on.
Oh, and I like that you've outsourced your potential discussion to another platform. The separation from a posting and comments section seems natural, to me. That is, a blog post can be distributed to many different platforms and discussion will happen there, rather than where the content was posted.
