    just as a little point worth dwelling on: it's very easy to forget that some things that are taken for granted aren't actually things everyone has, and that principle (and the inequalities which exist within that principle) extends to even the littlest of things like whether or not your school or neighborhood has a shade from a canopy of trees or is basically a parking lot and has nothing but paved surfaces. my city has trees everywhere, and they intermingle freely with housing and development almost everywhere, but that's definitely not true for a lot of cities, especially ones with ridiculous parking minimums.
