Speaking as someone whose city has benefited hugely from a large, spacious, modern library (one of the UK's most used libraries) and community space, congratulations Finland!
I'm a firm believer in the power of architecture to revitalise public spaces, and architecture which belongs to the community it lives in is even better. Libraries are very important places and when they're beautiful structures along with it, it's such a lovely thing to see. And damn, that building is stunning. I can't wait to see it in the snow.
Oodi is a wonderful place!
