Our city just had compost bins added to the list of things that waste disposal picks up from your house once a week, and in protest, people like my grandparents think it's a ploy by the Green friendly city councillors to steal their money or something.
To that, I always reply with this sentence below. The councillor doesn't want to make $$ off of your orange peels, they want to help curb one of the worst contributors to CO2 emissions from our landfill.
