While I fully support a carbon tax, he should have bet it on getting rid of first-past-the-post like he goddamn promised he would. Him slinking away from that promise just because "no consensus could be reached" (i.e. we decided our party's performance next election is more important than Canadians having a fair election) is precisely why I will not be voting Liberal in the upcoming Federal election or any future ones where he is still their party leader.

Not that it matters who I vote for anyways since, thanks to us still having FPTP and the fact I live in a Conservative stronghold means my vote doesn't make any difference whatsoever to the direction this country heads in the future. My only real choice for having an impact at this point is voting Green just to ensure they stay above 5% of the total votes so they keep receiving Federal funding for the party, even though I think they are a pretty ineffective, disorganized party, their platform is entirely unrealistic and Elizabeth May is a total wingnut.
