The authors of the article argue for an interesting method to "eliminate up to one sixth of overall [global] warming". How practical or thoroughly thought through the plan is, I have no idea.
it's a good idea in theory that will probably never see the rubber hit the road in practice for the very reasons they describe:
it's hard enough to get corporations and countries to deal with their carbon emissions, and the problems with those have been sold to people for decades at this point. i suspect methane will be similar in that regard.
