    Before I bother though, could someone who did watch it explain how we can't have extreme income inequality without the surveillance economy? Because that just seems like an argument proven wrong by history.

      Precisely why I'm not going to bother with an hour long youtube video and no synopsis. Sorry but they can exist without each other, and history has proven this more than once.

      My guess is that the point is that it's easier to maintain income inequality when you're watching everyone and being a dictator, fascist, or other strong corrupt government (or other large) entity.
