    I'm posting this, because I think it marks a significant trend away from dairy consumption (and towards plant-based milk-alternatives) in the US.

      I'm not surprised by a drop in milk consumption but is it really replaced by plant-based alternatives? I drink less milk than I used to but soy stuff just doesn't come close.

        Some-but-not-all .... Somewhere between 0% and 100% of people who cut back on dairy, or quit it altogether, switch to plant-dairy alts. What the actual %age is, is hotly debated, and an on-going...
