Been a fan of this channel for a long time. Super interesting seeing all the things - even in just the category of "fruit" - that we don't eat. Almost everything we eat was selected by farmers 500 years ago for how easy they would be to cultivate at scale. Sometimes they were just flat out wrong and passed up crops that would have been way more productive. In a lot of other cases, they passed up plants that just taste better and are healthier. WFE gives a nice view of things that might be missing.

Yeah, I've been a fan for a long time too. Since it's highly unlikely I will ever get to try all the interesting fruits that he has, even though I would love to, I enjoy getting to at least live vicariously through him and all his videos. Thankfully, his incredible ability to describe what he is experiencing in a very relatable way makes me feel less depressed about not being able to do the same as him though. :P

I'm way down the rabbit-hole now (thanks to the post!), I knew there were different types of passion fruit, but I had no idea there were so many

I have often lamented the lack of variety in produce. I’ve been priveleged enough in the past to have access farmers markets that remedy this. But alas, not now :(. I haven’t had a decent tomato...
