    I have eaten this once and I thought I had quite a sweet tooth but even I could barely stomach the tsunami of sugar that was marshmallows on sweet potatoes.

    There is a Japanese dish called daigaku imo (literally "University potato", because it's so cheap and easy, hence popular with students) which is candied sweet potatoes - although it is made with white sweet potatoes and a crispy, slightly salty soy caramel and it's utterly delicious.
