Sad and gross and completely predictable. Tim Hortons tries desperately to hang out to a fake identify of Canadian. It is a pretty good example of what corporate greed does to a franchise. I already don't go to or support Tim Hortons, so no moral stand for me to make here, but glad to see it getting called out for this.

When I first met my Canadian wife, I was able to rouse her out of bed with the promise of some Timmies if we got moving on whatever we needed to do. Now? We both completely agree that the only scenario we will go is if it is literally the only option, and even then we may consider if we can go hungry for a bit. The quality has nosedived so hard over the years that its impressive. The last time we went, we were both a little hangry and starting to get nippy at one another. Afterwards we agreed that the Tim's was so bad that we stopped quibbling and both agreed to no more time ever again

Honestly what made me stop going there altogether was their lids though, every single time I've gone through their drive through for a coffee, it leaks everywhere by the time I get where I'm going.
Side note, Harry Potter politics aside - who the hell is ordering hufflepuff donuts?
i loved Iced Capps. I'm not going to pretend they're anything more than, essentially, a coffee-flavored slushee, but I still love them. I'll get Timbits, too, but they're like fine? If I lived in...

If I lived in Canada I probably would never get them, but living in Texas it's a nice treat sometimes when I'm up there (or at the Timmies down here in Austin).

I stopped once they changed the coffee, if I need drive-through coffee now I go to McDonalds, same for their Frappe aka Iced Cap (especially during Summer Drink Days, can't beat those prices).

Tim Horton's might as well merge with Canadian Tire so they can get a discount on the tires they apparently use in their "brews". Also, it is high time the internet invented "Hairy Potter" plus...

Also, it is high time the internet invented "Hairy Potter" plus his nemesis, barber-who-shall-not-be-named, to get people off the stupid vibrating-broomstick storyline from the trans-hating jerk.

Something that shocks me about Timmies, that is present in this comment thread and also when talking to people in person is that most people agree it sucks now, and is a hollow shell of what it once was. Most people tend to prefer McDonald's coffee (they did buy Timmies' old supplier). However, Timmies is still quite popular. When most people say it sucks now, who is still buying it where there are lines in the drive thru every weekday morning?
Don't underestimate the power of routine. I'm sure some number of people go to Tim's because they always have. Also, I'm sure price is a factor. Yes, you could go to McDonalds to get coffee for a...
Don't underestimate the power of routine. I'm sure some number of people go to Tim's because they always have. Also, I'm sure price is a factor. Yes, you could go to McDonalds to get coffee for a similar price, but really nowhere else.
I'm also convinced that people who don't like coffee drink Tim's coffee. They just want the caffeine and it's easy on their way to work.
There's also just people who do like the thing we hate. I don't really buy coffee regularly but prefer a couple local places over big chains, and I hate Dunkin coffee but I know people who get...
There's also just people who do like the thing we hate. I don't really buy coffee regularly but prefer a couple local places over big chains, and I hate Dunkin coffee but I know people who get nothing else. And I'm not a coffee snob in any sense, I mostly want caffeine and some sweetness, I don't care about my beans or particularly like the drink.
But similarly other people love Starbucks and other people hate it and so on.
Absolutely. As much as complaining about Tims has become a national pass time, they still have thousands of locations making plenty of money so there are plenty of people happy to eat/drink there.

Sounds like you are describing the food and beverage options at Tim Hortons! I can't believe anyone can still stomach that garbage.

Wait, what? Is this a thing you can ask for?!
Yeah, it's actually on the regular menu.
I had no idea! Thank you

Its really become next level trash hasn't it.
Odd, Krispy Kreme had the exact same marketing campaign a year ago.
Gotta say TERF-hortons is a solid burn though. Another chain to avoid I guess
Yeah I enjoyed that comment.

Huzzah! A vacation with their cat to the Alps it is :)

Some folks just like the thing.
