I may try this, thank you for sharing! I'm especially glad you used Lye, too many recipes go with baking soda because it's easier but you don't get that unique pretzel taste.

No. I've never dipped Brezeln into anything. I know it's served with Weißwurst and sweet mustard in Bavaria, but I never could imagine the mustard would be for the Pretzel and not the Weißwurst.
