    I used to date someone who lived near Sal & Carmine's. I don't remember it being too exceptional. But there's a place on Broadway a few blocks south of there called Perfecto Pizza that was consistently excellent. Similarly, I'm not sure what Suprema Pizza is doing on this list. I have been in there a few times and thought it was average, no better than a hundred other places in midtown.

    FWIW, the best slice I ever had was at a place in Forest Hills (Queens) called Pepe's. Unfortunately it closed long ago. :-(
