    May be hometown pride but the St. Louis slice always made more sense to me. I'm not a bagel person regularly (never have them at home) but when someone brings them into the office I'll have 1. Cut normally most people don't want that much and I usually see many left over, the STL slice allows smaller pieces and more people snack on them. This is all from my own observation only.

      Most office caterers make bagels that are way too big. If it’s even feasible to cut the bagel that way then you’d be better off just making smaller bagels. If you’re going to insist on serving food this way, just bring a big pretzel roll into the office instead.

        I'm not familiar with any "office caterers", just random people stopping at St. Louis Bread Company (You may know it as Panera, but it'll always be Bread Co to me), caterers must be a big city/company thing.

          By "office caterers" I meant the cheap suppliers, such as Panera, but also a lot of local joints that use bulk suppliers instead of making the bagels properly each morning. The ones that target...

          By "office caterers" I meant the cheap suppliers, such as Panera, but also a lot of local joints that use bulk suppliers instead of making the bagels properly each morning.

          The ones that target offices tend to be worse at it, because the office managers in most companies tend to be penny-pinchers about niceties like that.
