cc: @Bauke, since I know you're a RT/AH fan too, but despite all the scandals that have come out over the last few years, IMO this is the most disappointing and disheartening one yet. Geoff I already knew was a terrible boss and person back when he was still a raging alcoholic, but I was especially disappointed hearing that Gav and Micahael were both involved in bullying Kdin too. They have both (Gav and Michael) publicly apologized for their behavior now too, and Michael apparently already reached out to apologize privately to Kdin several years ago, but even still... knowing they used to do that sort of thing still makes me incredibly sad.

I think a lot of Rooster Teeth fans are just in denial about the early content of the company. There's a reason Gavin, Michael, and Geoff's apologies all mention how things were different "back then." Kdin's multiple apologies do exactly the same.

Nightmare HR situation aside, it's pretty clear from the continued layoffs that Rooster Teeth simply does not have the money to pay its employees better. How will the community respond to even more layoffs in order to pay a few employees more money?

I don't have much to add beside that, indeed, it's a dumpster fire.

A company with a rotten, dysfunctional, culture. In some places harassment is ignored, but here it was celebrated because it's content. It's amazing that more hasn't come out.

Rooster Teeth acknowledged that since its inception in 2003 “we have faced inevitable mistakes and interpersonal challenges” and said, “Many individuals at Rooster Teeth acknowledged personal responsibility for their actions both internally and externally.”

In response to Jenzen’s post, Rooster Teeth co-founder Geoff Ramsey shared a long message on Twitter apologizing to Jenzen. “The long and short of it is that I fucking sucked,” Ramsey wrote. “I was a shitty, self-loathing poor excuse for a ‘comedian,’ who only knew how to express myself by externalizing that feeling under the guise of edgy comedy.” He said he didn’t “fully understand this about myself until I got sober.” Ramsey said he had apologized privately to Jenzen in 2016 and 2020.
