The problem with this is that now I don't want to unlock any more and mess up that number, but also I have this week off work and thus ample opportunity for gaming.
I got exactly 416 achievements in 416. Good thing my personal calendar begins after the Gunpowder Plot! Remember, remember, the 416 achievements in December...

My controller gaming was me playing through Death Stranding, and if you looked at my "games played" section most of these were started and exited.
I think it's interesting I can look at these stats and know more or less what I was doing on most of the games, it's a fun walk down memory lane.
My Steam Replay is remarkably similar to yours. And if Lost Ark hadn't taken up so much of my time this year, Victoria 3 (rather than EU4, like on yours) would have been at the top for me. Melvor...

Melvor Idle doesn't really count either though, since I basically left that game going for days at a time without really having to interact with it.
Same. Opened my replay, saw Lost Ark dominating playtime, thought of you and thought "I don't need this kind of judgement, Steam..." and closed it out.

Not really. It's more not liking that I spent so many hours on a game that I ultimately stopped playing because I found it unrewarding. But I can see how the two, at least for me, could seem related because of the games that I've spent a ton of hours in and ultimately don't look back on fondly, most are MMOs.

All the MMORPGs I do look back on fondly are mostly because of the shared experiences I had in them with friends. The game mechanics themselves I have never actually found very fun or satisfying though, and most ended up feeling like having a second (very tedious) job after a while. But unlike most other jobs, I don't think you could actually pay me enough to make me want to play them on my own. They were only tolerable because of who I played them with... which is another reason I so rarely play them anymore.
I think it depends on the kinds of MMOs and what you're doing. I feel the most "did nothing" guilt when doing solo queue multiplayer. On the other hand, playing through story content in an MMO (or...
I think it depends on the kinds of MMOs and what you're doing. I feel the most "did nothing" guilt when doing solo queue multiplayer. On the other hand, playing through story content in an MMO (or any game really) I pretty much always feel fine about. Playing with other people I know I also feel fine about. Grinding is so-so. I usually try to do something else when grinding, watching other content or talking to other people at the same time.
I love me a simple puzzle game! Don't think my brain is wired to crack a cryptic sudoku or anything any time soon... If my laptop wasn't on its last legs, my Replay might look pretty different. It...

If my laptop wasn't on its last legs, my Replay might look pretty different. It turns to molten lava at the mere thought of Transport Fever 2, Cities Skylines or Civilization VI!

Some games don’t give you achievements if you have mods loaded :)
Here's mine. Steam Deck changed everything.
Only thing missing is my mass quantity of Fortnite time.

My Steam Replay in which Persona 5 Royal eats up all my time as soon as it's released

Do you ever feel guilty after playing an MMO for that many hours? I do. I think that's one of the reasons I so rarely play them anymore. :(

Yeah, I think we might have somewhat similar feelings on the matter. See my other reply to AF.
i played it on game pass because it's quite unaffordable on steam, but yeah, p5r did that to me as well

You can tell I like DayZ
This is how a filthy casual performed in 2022.
I think you have to set your summary page visibility to "public" for us to be able to see it.
Gah! Didn't spot that...
It's viewable now.
p.s. Mini Metro and Motorways are awesome. I play them on my iPad quite a bit. :)

Dorfromantik is something you should try.

This looks great! Thank you for the recommendation.
I second Dorfromantik. And in a similar vein, ISLANDERS is another you might also enjoy.
Dorfromantik was on sale, so I snapped that one right up... ISLANDERS looks like another great shout. Added it to my wishlist!
Islanders is amazing as well!
