May be worth noting that at the CES conference this month AMD did announce they're working with Valve on hardware for the next iteration. That's still some time off, Valve hasn't announced any official specs or release date, but it will be a faster system utilizing a new chip.

Might not be a "deal" depending on your definition, but for those of you a certain age you might remember Genki's Tokyo Xtreme Racer, well after 18 years a new game is finally on the verge of being released. The new PC game is in Early Access at the moment, with a message from Genki that the Early Access price is lower than what the the full release will be. Currently $30: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2634950/Tokyo_Xtreme_Racer/

Depends on the person, nostalgia is a hell of a drug. I loved them, spent untold hours in them, friends and I taking turns during all nighters to get a lucky break facing wanderers to get to the next stage, etc. I've gone back to play on emulators and still love the games. If you're going to place on Dreamcast, I suggest just going straight for TXR2. TXRZero is still the pinnacle though, but it's on PS2.

Fanatical Build Your Own Elite VR Bundle

Has a bunch of VR games at very cheap per-game prices (which is rare -- VR games don't tend to get the same steep discounts as regular Steam games). Additionally: you can pick and choose which ones you want.

Of these, the only one I've played is VR Furballs - Demolition, which I would give a soft recommendation. It reminded me a lot of the Boom Blox games back on Wii (which I loved), but feels clunkier. If you're not familiar with Boom Blox (likely), then you can think of the game as a sort of VR Angry Birds.

At full price I don't know that I'd endorse it, but for the price in the bundle, I'd say go for it -- especially if you have kids. It's definitely aimed at younger audiences.

I'm not sure if the full game is as impressive, but the demo for Tea For God was better than any VR game I played outside Superhot VR back in 2019; it was wonderfully claustrophobic and the use of roomscale was like nothing I'd ever played before. Gonna pick this package up just for that.

As someone who gets nauseous from any non-teleport movement, that looked like hell. But enough like fun hell that the back of my brain considered trying to develop those sea legs again.
