If you care at all about spoilers, try not to look stuff up and DO NOT get involved with the fandom until you have played this game to your satisfaction. They're all too willing to give out the optimal way to play, and Undertale is best IMO if you find out about it yourself.

The Steam Spring Sale has started today and runs until March 20th.

My personal recommendations based on playtime over the last year:

Noita (60% off): A rogue-lite all about experimentation and exploration. Plunge into the depths beneath the mysterious mountain on a quest to gain true knowledge, crafting wild spells, solving puzzles and growing more powerful along the way... until you accidentally vaporize yourself and have to start again. This game quickly became one of my most favoured of all time.

Getting Over It (75% off): Try to climb a mountain with a hammer, fall down, get frustrated, get back up, centre yourself, say no to anger, try again, never give up, believe in yourself, triumph. Simple.

Golf It (50% off): Mini golf that uses mouse swing mechanics instead of a power-meter like Golf With Your Friends. For a long time now it has been my groups staple backup game when we want to jump into something quick and have a few laughs. Has a course editor and workshop support with many great community made courses available.

I played through it on PS4 and I really enjoyed it, would highly recommend if you're remotely interested in open world RPG's. It also has a Kurosawa mode if you're a fan of those types of movies too.

The Playdate Catalog Sale is still on through March 20th. I haven’t played it yet, but I snagged Trackminia. If anyone has other recommendations, I’m happy to hear them!

Immortals Fenyx Rising is 90% off on Steam. It’s a fun, Breath of the Wild-inspired open-world action game. I got 60+ hours out of it on my Deck.

    Usual caveats apply:

    • It’s an Ubisoft game.
    • It uses Ubisoft Connect even on Steam.
    • If you have ANY interest in the DLC, get the full “Gold Edition” from the beginning. It’s usually much more expensive to add on the DLC separately later (Ubi doesn’t love discounting DLCs, but will often put the base game out for cheap).

One positive note: they did just add Steam achievements to the game. I wonder if that’s Ubi deciding to take a step in the direction of better Steam support/prioritization for their games? Hard to tell from just one action, but hopefully we’ll see more in the future.

Well, they've added achievements to tons of their legacy games... But they're still Ubisoft.

It's a game about burnout, would recommend the demo if you haven't heard about it but it doesn't carry over progress wise, so you'll have to redo the first 30 minutes. It's fine though, take your time!

$13.39 is the lowest price the the game usually goes for. It’s more than a year old, so it might get cheaper later, but if it’s a game you’re interested in, it might be worth spending the money?...

There’s an older demo on itch if you want to give it a go.
