Bunch of good stuff since yesterday. As an enjoyer of the rhythm games, I liked the Hatsune Miku Fitness Boxing showcase. Really made me want to go Beat Saber, which has not been possible due to my cough. Also loved Mario Kart World, even though I have no interest in the game itself - the runner was a very cheerful person who clearly enjoys what she does, and the category idea (hit all question marks) which she routed herself was surprisingly compelling.
Small Saga today was an unexpected gem. Even with the runner speeding through the dialogue everyone watching could tell the game has a lot of character and is a lot of fun. I also had fun semi-watching Argick's Lylat Wars (Star Fox 64) run.
Tonight we have Psychonauts 2 and for the first time (though unfortunately too late for an european) Silent Hill f! Also a bunch of other big name stuff that will surely be of interest to viewers other than myself. Really good lineup.
I checked it out at the library and forgot about it until now. I think I got stuck on one of the riddles, I think it was trying to point to the model volcano or something.

I do remember trying to return to the game years later wanting to finally see it through, only to find that I wasn’t able to get it working on what was (at the time) modern Windows.

Anyone else still (occasionally) watching? If you missed it, I really recommend checking out the pure unhinged chaos that was the American Truck Simulator run. I wasn't even supposed to be watching at the time, so that was pure luck on my part!
Some premium kaizo skill from shovda on the JokerShellOK run. And from what I caught of the Awful Block (which was, as always, scheduled for awful hours) Bug Blasters: The Exterminators, a FMV game, sure was a thing.
I'd describe the rest of today as "mostly things I'd mildly interested in", at least until tonight's maimai showcase (with starrodkirby86, the same person who did it last time) which I'm sure will be awesome. I'm also curious for Croc 2 tomorrow, a game I played as a youth (I don't think I've ever seen it speedrun).
I never watch live anymore—it's easier to just wait for the VODs to drop for runs I'm interested in. But I definitely was curious about the American Truck Simulator race, so thanks for the heads...

The Stop the Rock! run was great, though I’m admittedly biased. The game having a character named “Chet” that got riffed on as “Chat” was entertaining.
I enjoyed the Armored Core VI run yesterday. Good energy, and the runner has a golden voice. I thoroughly enjoyed the recurring donation counts for every time he picked the wrong mech.
Richard Burns Rally was also enjoyable as a skill showcase. The couch having an actual co-driver who went into lots of specifics about rally racing helped me appreciate the skill that goes into playing the game at that level. Plus the race direction donations were fun.
I had planned on watching the Rally run but ended up unable to pay attention during that time. I had to make dinner! There's always too much to watch it all...

EDIT: I might have commentator’s cursed the runner. Literally right when I posted this he got stuck for a good minute or so. 😆😭
So, that ended up being a GREAT run, and the continually unfolding Nintendo Family lore ended up being such an entertaining through line. Also, my husband’s donation got read aloud! He donated as...

He donated as The Nintendo Family Private Chef and made the joke about a speedrunner’s favorite food being gold banana splits. 😁

Today's stream is how I learned about the cursed Hades OwO speedrun, but i'll probably be throwing this on in the background for the week. I love watching GDQ any time they have an event.

Looking forward to Cavern of Dreams today - Steam says players like me love that game - Jazzpunk and (it's been a while) A Hat In Time.
Let’s goooooo! I unfortunately don’t have the spare cash to donate much this time, but I’m looking forward to a week of breaking games! As always, I have a type and am mostly looking forward to...
Let’s goooooo! I unfortunately don’t have the spare cash to donate much this time, but I’m looking forward to a week of breaking games! As always, I have a type and am mostly looking forward to any FPS games (especially Halo), soulslikes, and precision platformers, but I’m sure that like always, I’ll see a dozen games that I’ve never heard of and will need to pick up after the event.

You posting the VOD link is my favorite GDQ tradition. ❤️
❤️ right back at you for posting these topics every year. :)

As one of the ten or so people in the world who played Stop the Rock! back when it released, I'm genuinely and unironically hyped for that one.
I checked it out at the library and forgot about it until now. I think I got stuck on one of the riddles, I think it was trying to point to the model volcano or something.

I really recommend that Psychonauts 2 run. The commentary about the various mental health issues present in the game was great.

Loved the ACVI run as well. Especially since it was Arena, thus not spoiling the story!

Cavern of Dreams was a great run. I hadn't heard about the game before, but it was really fun to watch. Great commentary as well.
