I loathe them and refuse to play them. In competitive games, it is unfair as there isn't a level playing field. Otherwise, it is naked greedy business types pushing off their demented desires to monetize everything in the extreme. One and done purchases for games are disappearing, I'll find something better to do (and really do have plenty else) as a result as filtering through the options of games of interest to me without in app purchases is becoming too much effort.

I hate to be blunt, but why did you post this? Is it that you think this content is genuinely interesting and applicable to the audience of tildes, or that this is an advertisement? It seems to me...

I agree, as usually when we have genuine posts the discussion takes place in the comments instead of just serving a menu of app with prices. Also phrasing like "xxx yyy and many more ..." is like...

is like 100% commercial talk, you won't see that in any other context.

It 100% feels like an advertisement. I guess a big problem with your post is that it poses no question or platform for a discussion about the subject and just feel more like you (the op) wanted...

With the death of 32 bit apps, iOS games nowadays are pretty bland. Everything's pay to play, not like the old games.
