The game "Abstractism" on Steam appears to have been covertly mining cryptocurrency for its developers (and has now been removed from Steam)

    The drop system they've integrated is quite devious, given that the game steals computing resources to mine XMR. Basically, the drop system forces users to keep the game open for long hours to obtain rarer items -- the rarest items being given if you keep it open for weeks! They also plan to add more items regularly, and of course they'll only be dropped if the game is kept open. Glad the listing was taken down by Valve.
