I think it is always important to hear these diverse voices in the industry. Despite a view that the gaming community as a whole is a monolithic group of white men, there are a large number of queer, women, and minority gamers, streamers, and developers.
I thought a point brought up throughout this piece is that it is important to be mindful of how your actions, and in many cases inaction, effect others. Developers and companies in the industry can do more than pay lip-service to LGBT causes and donate to LGBT causes / hire LGBT developers, streamers can do more to stem the toxicity in their chats, and gamers themselves can do better to foster an environment where everyone is having fun.
