Curious to see how the parry changes have been implemented. My biggest issue with the most recent god of war was that the higher difficulties did not scale well with skill. They were simply slog-fests of how much could you dodge and get in a single attack. In the old god of war games, parry timing allowed you to keep combat fluid and never have to stop (so long as you were skilled enough), making higher difficulty combat more skill based and did a better job rewarding aggressive play.

I really wanted to get this game but I'm already on X1X and PC. I simply couldn't justify the cost of another console. No matter how much I wanted to hear Teal'c again

Seems like a moot point, but just for others reading, you can get a used PS4 for less than $200. If you're a "patient gamer," and wait for the prices to drop, you can get AAA games for like $20,...

If you're a "patient gamer," and wait for the prices to drop, you can get AAA games for like $20, sometimes less if used. When I was gaming on a PC, I was a lot of the time using an Xbox controller for games where it was more appropriate, so the switch to a PS4 was great. Graphics these days are pretty damn impressive on consoles, without all the fiddling I used to do on PC. Just for some perspective.

Agreed, but I sit so much further from the screen, the 4K thing isn't really important to me. If I get up and get super close to the TV, I can notice the difference. From my couch about 11 feet (I had to measure for audio setup), the difference is marginal at best. As a very occasional gamer, I just find it impressive that as long as the console is up to date (I keep it that way because I use it as a media player for some things), you can just pick up a controller and play. On PC, I always had to update card drivers, update game, update Steam half the time, and then I'd find myself an hour in playing with settings to get that knife's edge balance between graphics and frame rate. Then I get into a large area with a ton of characters, and it's back to the settings because my game suddenly slowed down. It always seemed to break the immersiveness of the game.
It's probably not that way for daily gamers though. It's just a lot more convenient for me.
Not gonna pay like 800 canadian for 5 games. I can get hundreds of steam games for that. I would love to play all of those games but it's just not realistic for me.

Sometimes it hurts being a PC gamer.
PS4 has spiderman coming out. that game looks amazing.
Yeah, it really does. Especially as a big marvel and spider-man fan.
Why choose one "console" they are all pcs in the inside, join in my brother. The whole masterrace thing is a construct
Are you saying I should buy a 400 dollar console just to play like 3 games on it?

Makes sense. I don't have too good eyesite so I have to sit up close.

Called exclusives for a reason.
Yep, and I never refuted that. I said 5 games aren't worth 800 dollars.
The prices in concoles have gone down but the games havent. I live and love both worlds.
And that's awesome for you. But for me, my PC is all I need and I can't justify more systems.
Nioh is on PC now. Not sure about Nioh 2 exclusivity or not.
