It looks like this is why—they're moving over to Pinball FX3 instead.

I think it's going to be hard to say, since that's probably a very personal thing. I really enjoy playing digital versions of pinball, but it's a fairly different experience from playing a physical table.

The main "platforms" are free and usually come with at least one free table that you can play (and you have to buy the rest), so I'd say you should probably just give it a shot and see what you think. Assuming you have Steam:

      • Pinball FX3 is free itself with one free table. Also, if you follow the instructions in the link, you should be able to enable the beta version which I think gives access to these Williams tables for now. It's worth noting that some people consider the Pinball FX games' physics a bit less realistic and more "video-game-like", but it sounds like they're making some adjustments to it for the Williams tables to try to be better reproductions.
      • Pinball Arcade is also free, and I believe it has one rotating free table that changes periodically. I haven't played it much myself, but my impression is that people consider it more realistic, but it was also hurt quite a bit recently by losing all its Williams/Bally tables.
