New Steam client beta supports "Steam Link Anywhere", allowing streaming games outside the local network

    You know, between this project, and Steam Play aiming for a fork of Wine on parity with Windows proper, I would almost think that Steam was gearing up for a streaming service ecosystem...

    This was already possible before, you had to port forward ports 27031-27037 to your steam PC, and then on the steam link app pick other computer and enter the external IP address. I used it before...

    This was already possible before, you had to port forward ports 27031-27037 to your steam PC, and then on the steam link app pick other computer and enter the external IP address. I used it before to allow a friend to play some games on a phone and a PS4 controller. Biggest issue was latency, but it was playable.
