I can dig it. As far as I'm concerned, Obsidian shits gold. Their worst games are fantastic, and were blemished only to a minor degree for reasons out of their control. For instance, if I knew how KOTOR 2 and New Vegas were going to turn out ahead of time, I still would have purchased and replayed those games multiple times. Generally there's only so much to know about a game before its release, but I am fully confident in Obsidian's ability to deliver a god-tier game relative to all others in the universe of games. As it stands, I have no reason to suspect that The Outer Worlds won't be one of Obsidian's better games, and we're talking about the same company that delivered Pillars of Eternity, Tyranny, and The Stick of Truth of course.

From the video, the aesthetics, combat and dialogue options of The Outer Worlds appear masterful. It would come as no surprise if I started the game and did not stop playing until being passive-aggressively asked when I am coming to bed. With its complexity the game will release with bugs, some worse than others, but surely it will be less buggy than any Bethesda game ever thought about being at release. And in spite of that sentiment, I am still very much intrigued by Starfield and the next TES entry, although my faith in Bethesda's competence and intentions have dropped substantially over just the last couple years alone. I secretly hope that Obsidian replaces both Bethesda and BioWare for that matter, which are husks of their former selves. I would welcome modern alternatives to TES and Mass Effect.
