Rocket League will remove all paid, randomized Crates later this year, replacing them with a system that shows items in advance

    Does it show the items of the next box, so you know it's worth paying for the trash box so you can re-roll the dices?

      In the aricle they cite how it's planned to be similar to Fortnite StW; so basically yeah - you get to see exactly what the box contains and can just skip it and wait for it to refresh in the hope...

      This system is far better than what we currently have imo, but at the same time I have to admit that it just feels like a more frustrating 'daily marketplace'...

        Yeah on one hand I can see WHY they're doing it but on the other hand I can't see why this is better than a shop...

    I guess the fear of legislation (since this couldn't have been a PR decision) finally outweighed the desire for more and more profit.
