For me, I think I'll grab the BTA for Portal Knights. It does have a fair bit of DLC which puts me off, but I think it could still be fun in coop.

Nah, I think posting deals is good. I'd love to have a dedicated group for it eventually, /r/GameDeals is one of the main reasons I still visit reddit often. I'm not sure if we should go with "deals" or "sales" or something else for the tag/name, it doesn't look like there's been much of a standard so far.

More on-topic, the only game I've played in this bundle is SEUM. I don't know that it fits into this bundle very well since I think the level-building is a pretty minor feature in it, but it was fun. It's a first-person speed-running-ish game where you have to run through fairly short levels as quickly as possible, and ends up with quite a few interesting abilities and obstacles. Finding all the hidden beers was a challenge too. I've never gone back to it after I got through it initially, but I enjoyed it.

I don't think it'd be fair to inundate Tildes with too many deal posts just yet - at least not on the same scale of /r/GameDeals - but maybe some of the highlights would be good for now. Big bundles, standout deals, and of course freebies.

By the way: I know we don't have any sort of group moderation process in place over here, but if some time down the road that becomes a thing I'd probably be interested in taking up a similar mantle over here. At least this is a little niche that I understand well.

Oh haha, I had absolutely no idea that was who you were on reddit.

I think Tildes has the potential to be quite a bit better than reddit for uses like /r/GameDeals, since the tagging and some of the other systems here are way more flexible and could make it way easier for people to see the things they're interested in and ignore the ones they're not. There's still a lot of work needed to get to that point, and we'd definitely need it split out and not included by default before we can ramp the volume up, but someday!

And yeah, there's no formal moderation system, but we can emulate some of it through permissions/trust, for example giving people like you the ability to take particular actions only inside the deals group.

I'll also throw in my appreciation. As a long-time user of the subreddit, thank you for all you do! It's an incredible resource, and very well-run.

I was a bit disappointed with my experience playing Portal Knights. It's not a bad game by any means, but very average without anything I haven't seen in other survival-type games. My biggest gripe was how slow everything seemed to progress. Slow and restrictive movement along with very little sense of progression made me uninstall after only an hour of play time.

SEUM is excellent, and has been a favorite "hidden gem" of mine for a long time. I played through it during a GDQ week when watching speedruns made me want to try to do things really fast. The engine and movement is great, and shaving off seconds from your runs is really satisfying. I normally don't love first-person platforming but this one feels really good to play. Well worth the mid-tier price on its own, IMO.
