    From the skyrim article:

And with all that success comes the inevitable and insufferable "not that good actually" crowd.
But they are wrong! Skyrim is good, actually.

Not to be one of those "skyrim sucks" people (or, at least, not insufferable), but, writing off opinions of those that disagree with you + then explaining that the game is good solely because of it's broken physics engine-- "clumsy and weird but consistently clumsy and weird" -- is not a good argument in my opinion. The article is almost like a parody due to that.

I have played this game tons and while it is a decently fun game with many hours worth of playtime, l don't think it's a good game. Currently don't have much time to elaborate so l'm keeping it short; too shallow, underwhelming main quest, repetitive sidequests and game features that are only enjoyable/useful with mods(legendary weapons, UI, perks, etc).

It's really hard for me to believe Dark Souls is less than ten years old. What do you think a few of yours would be? For me, the top 5 or so would be obvious (Dark Souls, Stardew Valley, Persona 5, Breath of the Wild, New Vegas...), but beyond that, I would have to struggle to overcome both recency bias and an anti-multiplayer bias for lists like this.

Based on pure # of hours, Soulsborne, WoW, Overwatch, and FFXIV would have to be on there for me I suppose.

Edit: Wow, just read their Dark Souls article and found it incredibly lazy? The metaphor of the game being cold and the fires being warm is a nice metaphor for an introduction, but to use it to hand wave away the rest of the game's meaningfulness reads like the writer just didn't want to write more?
