Legitimately shocked. I thought the steam controller was pretty much objectively Steam's most successful hardware project. I love the one I have, works great for FPS's, RTS's, or just as a Netflix remote. And honestly just browsing the web in the Steam client's built in browser was so much fun when you could feel yourself slam into the edge of the page when the controller jumped in your hands.
And there are so many libraries for interfacing with it. Made a 0x40 HUES-style visualizer that used the Steam controller to create the "sheet music" in real time as the music played. It was so hackable and accessible, it will be missed.
It's really good for people with CTS or at risk for getting it. There's no other controller that even comes close and that's before considering the customizability of the controls, which makes it...

I've never even seen it for sale in Canada. I was on Steam yesterday, checked my Wishlist and it still said "Coming Soon!" and now it's on a blowout sale and may be gone forever? What the fuck?

Last year when the Steam Link went on sale for $7 I ordered one for a Canadian friend and he picked it up next time he visited. Dunno why they don't sell it to you fine folks.

Like a lot of people, I just bought one, becuase $13 is cheap enough. I have intermittant RSI issues, so I have always been interested in one. Could also be fun to hack around with.

Let's hope they're paving the way for the v2 of the controller. :)

Oh god, yes! I got one! I hate playing games on my laptop and having to set up my laptop too my tv is a pain in the ass.
Damn, out of stock already in the UK - it's showing at £4, and I would very happily have bought one at that price!

Same for The Netherlands
They must have gone like hotcakes at that price.
Well, I had always thought about picking one up but never felt justified enough to spend the $50 on it. Grabbed one today.

Enjoy your controllers :)
