    The important point here is the “few lasting consequences”. Part of this is on governments for not regulating / enforcing regulations, but another is on the customers for putting up with this...

    The important point here is the “few lasting consequences”. Part of this is on governments for not regulating / enforcing regulations, but another is on the consumerscustomers for putting up with this nonsense and not voting with their wallets. These are the only things these companies understand.
