It looks like they did an impressive job with remastering the game, and I do have fond memories of playing WarCraft III as a teenager and heavily investing time into many of the custom maps like Footman Frenzy. I was never that big on playing WC3 competitively and for me my first foray into competitive RTS was Starcraft 2 many years later.
But I'm not gonna pick this one up because it's Blizzard.
I've been boycotting the company for various reasons ever since October and to my credit, I have not touched a single Blizzard game since. For the past decade I've been disillusioned with how they've increasingly become Activision's lapdog, cut back their customer support, automated their report systems for the worse, killed off the grassroots esports circuits that formed around their own games, shovelled heavy amounts of MTX into World of Warcraft, dumbed down WoW heavily, screwed over Heroes of the Storm players, etc. If that was all the stuff that bothered me about Blizzard then WoW Classic would have been the one thing still keeping my faith in the publisher.
The last straw for me was the Hearthstone Grandmasters ruling. Blizzard handled that incident, the heavy backlash that came from their unfair punishment of Blitzchung, and their half assed non-apology in such a disgraceful manner that it's made me swear off of the company.
Many friends I know went even further than I did, by actually submitting data deletion requests and excommunicating people who still played Blizzard games.
What actually shocks me whenever I bring this up on any other site (MMO Champion, Reddit, etc) is the amount of fanboys that will still defend Blizzard to the hilt.
It's not, it's a complete and utter disaster. The original Warcraft 3 has been replaced with Reforged while removing features that people have complained about their games since Starcraft 2. And...

I've got almost 7000 games of Starcraft 2 over the last decade but uninstalled it after the Blitzchung ruling and haven't touched it since. I still play Brood War and Diablo 2 sometimes, but my justification is that Blizzard isn't making money off of those and aren't seeing any engagement metrics. In the grand scheme of things boycotts like these might not be a huge deal, but it's also not a huge sacrifice for us to make and we might as well do it.

Tried to log in and play yesterday but the servers were slammed, wasn't even able to play a 1v1 against cpu so, not looking great.
