The website has short descriptions and (often vague) release info for all the games, along with a link to at least a Twitter account if you want to follow any of them: https://www.wholesomegames.com/

Faced with a long list like this, I don't try any of them. Does anyone have recommendations?

Not on this list, but I find A Short Hike exceptionally relaxing and wholesome.

The large majority of them aren't out yet, and many probably won't be for at least a year or two. So there's not really that much to actually be able to try at this point, it's mostly previews and a good way to get an overview of a bunch of upcoming indie games around a very vague aesthetic/theme.

Whether it's truly a "game" is a bit debatable, but I've seen a lot of positive sentiments about Kind Words, which is on sale right now with a new update in honor of its players writing each other over a million letters.
