I know there was a whole lot a stank around the lootboxing mechanism that was supposed to be fixed right now, with an okay single player mode tacked on.

Can't speak for pure PvP, large-scale battles. I would say if you are casual, tomorrow is the day to play that mode as the die-hards will be so much better when it is just them again.
