One of the few remakes I will buy. I enjoyed the original game so much. The audio-tapes you found laying around really pulled me in. I remember feverently searching for survivors in some giant loading bays, while I discovered one mutilated corpse after another - along with more and more logs, telling of their hopeless fight against the AI and its servants.

Yeah I looked at screenshots of the enhanced version on Steam and it looked a little rough, I just totally missed that era of PC FPS games until I got Half-Life and that really set the bar.
The closest I ever got to that type of game as a kid was Goldeneye. The shooters that defined the genre for me young were Half-Life and Halo so trying to play their predecessors is hard for me now. I didn’t play Doom, Serious Sam, Wolfenstein, Duke Nukem, Marathon, ect.

I never played System Shock but I've heard good things like "genre-defining" so I'm super down to try it when this releases.
