This is super exciting, it's the first time these games will be available outside of Japan. They are directed by Shu Takumi who also directed the first 3 Ace Attorney games, as well as Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective (which might be one of my favorite games ever). I'm hoping there will be some sort of physical release, as many of the mainline Ace Attorney games have not gotten one in the west.

I didn't realize that Shu directed them, that's so hype! I've played almost all of the AA games but the original trilogy (especially game 3) is a masterpiece with a huge emotional payoff.

I tried to play Great Ace Attorney recently (via the 3DS fantranslation), but as it turns out, my old 3DS's battery barely works and oh boy is the screen smaller than I thought it was.

Wondering when they're going to give this treatment to the new Ace Attorney games though (Apollo, Dual Destinies, Spirit of Justice).

I'm pretty curious how some of it will be localized, tbh. If I remember correctly, I heard that there was one case where you needed to know the way that a japanese style of clothing was worn or something, which would be challenging to localize.

I love that game. Played it on the Nintendo DS*. The perfect platform for it IMHO. * Actually played Ace Attorney but it's the same deal

I know Ace Attorney is a cult classic in its genre, but I still haven't gathered the courage to pick one up yet for fear of being let down by oversimplification of the detective work and proving one's innocence/guilt in court. (As a lawyer, there is some professional baggage here, I know.)

I really enjoyed Murdered by Numbers and am hooked by Paradise Killer, but from what it seems to me, what I most enjoy in those titles is exactly what sets them apart from the classic.

How is Ace Attorney different from just Murder by Numbers without nonograms/picross?
