    There was some concern about the lower positive patient outcomes on ventilators that came up a few weeks ago, and among some professionals, a concern about this being the right way for the amount of cases it's being used for, and that's even considering the precision these devices are capable of. It was thought that maybe the hardening of lung tissues that ARDS causes increased potential for lung damage.*

    Some of it spawned a knee-jerk "anti-vent" movement, unfortunately, which makes it a bit difficult for legitimate discussions, but this article did a great job of showing the concerns and posing alternatives.
