Daily coronavirus-related chat, questions, and minor updates - April 28
This thread is posted daily, and is intended as a place for more-casual discussion of the coronavirus and questions/updates that may not warrant their own dedicated topics. Tell us about what the situation is like where you live!
I went to school to get some materials they were delivered and they included:
2 tests of math and language/writing (Portuguese because I'm Brazilian)
2 'handouts' (apostila, Google translated), although they didn't have the time to properly put a cover on all of them, likely due to prevention being poorly valued like usual.
2 short but decently thorough 'books' to help:
People use the app they made (someone will need it)
Parents to keep their children/teenagers doing something more than watching their hair grow
They're doing everything in their power to send us a full student workload and make us follow it.
They might have wanted to consider that before COVID.
Also Brazilian. I was just visited by a justice official that sent me an intimation for an audience. It is going to be virtual but I still don't know witch app they'll use. I am excited to find that out.
John Hopkins data is now showing that the US has crossed a million cases, with global cases over 3 million.
Trump also said he's going to order meat-processing plants to continue operating, even though they've been the sources of some of the largest outbreaks in the US now.
Local brother is in the middle of finals, remote brother is working grocery, Grandma passed, Mom caught it from Grandma, was in the hospital for a chest x-ray and they want to keep her overnight to keep an eye on oxygen, and I have to coordinate working at home with everyone who wants to drop something off and call in and co-worry about Mom. AMA, I guess.
Oh dear lord. $TSLA earnings are on Wednesday. Someone isn't a happy-chappy.
