Pretty garbage reporting. Rather than coming up with actual motive, method, or opportunities for the killings it’s just speculation about how odd her behavior could have been. Not even hope of her behavior was. “Do you think that is a normal reaction?” “Maybe.” How damning!!!!!
Also having severely understaffed unit with only junior doctors that didn’t properly supervise the patient led to what conclusion? It let a person murder babies in a variety of ways that could not be proven. Some with insulin, some with air inflation in the ng tubes, others so mysterious we don’t even know why they died. No way could a understaffed and unsupervised unit have a higher mortality that a properly staffed unit that would eat into the profits.
I think we would rather believe in imaginary monsters that admit we are being killed by peoples greed.
It's not the Guardian's place to determine those things, it's the job of the commission they mention in the story. What this piece is apparently trying to do is report on some of the testimony and statements of others that the commission will be taking into consideration.
