I've mentioned elsewhere that a person of my acquaintance (henceforth, PoMA) practices psilocybin microdosing, to some benefit. There is growing interest in medical use of psychedelic medicines for anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, and other mental illnesses. This article reports on a Canadian survey/test-based study with a participating user population. The survey reveals both relative proportions of benefits and harms/drawbacks reported, and some additional testing on whether users have measurable changes in creativity and "wisdom".

I have not looked for the original paper to see how the study was conducted and whether the reported effects may be significant; use this information at your own discretion.

The pie charts in the article are a little misleading about the ratio of the negative and positive effects of psychedelic 'microdoses'. For instance, the reader might assume the positive effects pie chart represents all people who replied to the survey. Instead the graph shows the break down of what kind of positive comments the people replied with. The same issue goes for the negative effects pie chart.
